CBC Poetry Prize Longlist 2013

CBC Poetry PrizeI’m very pleased to report that one of my poems, “Waiting for spring, or something,” has been longlisted for this year’s CBC Poetry Prize! The longlist was announced September 3, and you can find it here.

I’m so honoured to be on a list with so many amazing writers, including friend Garth Martens, and the talented Kayla Czaga, who co-hosted the first Swoon (my love-themed, Vancouver-based reading series) reading with me.

CBC is posting interesting interviews with the readers of the competition’s submissions as they prepare to unveil the shortlist; if you’ve ever wondered what it is like to read through hundreds and hundreds of poems, you’ll enjoy the readers’ answers!

Congratulations to all my fellow writers on this year’s longlist!
