Room Magazine issue launch on Thursday, October 23

Room Magazine Launch Image

After having so much fun at WORD Vancouver, I have the pleasure of performing for Room Magazine again–this time at Heartwood Community Cafe next Thursday at 7pm for their official launch of two issues: their most recent previous issue, 37.2 Expanding the Voice (in which work by friend and former Swooner Kayla Czaga appears), and their current issue 37.3 Geek Girls, in which my work appears!

If you missed my performance at WORD, here’s your chance to hear me perform my fairy tale poems from Geek Girls! And if you were there at WORD, don’t worry–in addition to the poems in Room, I’ll also be reading some new work that I didn’t read for WORD. It won’t be a repeat performance, and I would absolutely love to see your faces again!

The full details for the Room Magazine launch can be found on their website, here, and I encourage you to RSVP to the event on Facebook!

I still wish that I could be in two places at once! It’s sort of strange to think that on the same night I’ll be performing for Room‘s issue launch, the issue launch for Echolocation is happening across the country in Toronto! I wish I could be there to support the fine folks at Echolocation; I’m delighted to have my work published by them, too!
